Salvaging
Open to Feedback
This content has been updated since Event 1. We are actively seeking feedback and may make minor adjustments until the end of April.
Overview
Prop Requirements
Salvage Devices aren’t instant, and require some admin work in the Base, so we recommend fashioning them more as trash compactors or boxes instead of a hand-held device. However, it’s up to you how you want to roleplay the process!
How to Salvage
When planetside, you’re likely to find some low-quality or broken equipment. This is useless on its own but can be swapped for credits with the Ardent or local traders who will recycle what they can.
Or, you can scrap it yourself.
Due to physical limitations, all salvaging must be processed through the A-COM Hub. Take your Salvage and the device you’re using to break it apart, and you’ll be given Components or Materials that you can use in the FABREP.
Salvaging is randomised from the list of Components and/or Materials used to make the item.
Enemy Teceh
Commonly used enemy Equipment, like weapons, is usually classed as Salvage when looted. This is both to stop weapons becoming unsellable items due to market saturation, and to reflect that the items are pretty worn down and not usable by crewmates with their general training.
