Prop Requirements
We use toy foam dart blasters to represent blasters. These can be store bought, modded, or home made.
Blasters must shoot one of the following types of darts: nerf elite, nerf rival, nerf mega, half darts.
All blasters must be painted to resemble more believable weapons, and not be the standard orange/blue of many off-the-shelf blasters. Moving parts and magazines do not require painting.
Safety
All blasters must be safety checked the first event they are used at.
FPS Limit
Our FPS limits are based on a 1 joule energy limit, to keep blasters as toys.
- 130 FPS for elite and half darts
- 110 FPS for rival balls
- 95 FPS for mega darts
Electrical Upgrades
All custom electrical work must be photographed. If images are unclear, our safety team may need to open the blaster during safety checks.
Lithium batteries may be used if they are properly housed to protect from mechanical shock. Please bring a heat-proof container for storing batteries.
