| Detect | Followed by a description of what is attempting to be detected. |
| Distract | Target is focused on the user until they stop talking. |
| Faux Pas | Smooths over an insult. |
| Fear | Target is afraid of the source until separated or distracted. |
| Pacify | Target’s emotions are dulled, making them resistant to Read attempts. |
| Pheremone | Target will biologically identify the user as low-threat. Tailored pheremones may give additional, unique effects to different NPC aliens. |
| Read | Target must give a one word response describing their current opinion or emotional state. |
| Resist | Made in response to a call to show it had no effect. |
| Restrain | The target is physically restrained, and cannot move. |
| Search | The target must reveal items stored in the area being searched. |
