Introduction to Items
Instead of permanent character skills, this game uses a mix of items and cybernetic augments to help you interact with the game and give your character specific bonuses. If you have the Lammie, you can use the item. Some more advanced items may have prerequisites or restrictions.
These items can be shared and traded with other characters.
In general, if you can roleplay something, you can do something. If there are restrictions on an action stated by a Self Ref Card, or it interacts with a gameplay mechanic (such as dealing or healing damage), you will need to use an item.
Free Items
Any items that are props and therefore solely there to assist with roleplay (such as plastic syringes and bandages) or are required for a physrep to function (such as blaster magazines and darts) do not require purchasing in-game for you to bring and are not tracked with Lammies, but you are welcome to sell these physreps to other players for IC money.
Lammies
“Lammie” is a common LARP term for a laminated card describing an In-Game item’s rules. You will receive a Lammie for each item your character owns, that must either be attached to the physrep, or kept on your person.
Tags
Lammies can be awkward to add to physreps sometimes. You are welcome to add tags with numbers on them to match them to a lammie.
If you lose a physrep, you can use this number on the lammie to help quickly match it to an item in Lost Property. If the item is stolen, the thief must record the theft with Lost Property regardless, and you will be asked to hand in the lammie and have the physrep returned.
Stickers
A few very cheap items are represented by stickers.
