I must say you’ve all done well. Very well, in fact.
You’ve tackled the delights and horrors of an unknown universe with initiative and aplomb, with very little information at your disposal. For that, we thank you, although we frankly expected nothing less.
But as is right and fair, we shall be repaying the favour.
We’ve decided to release more information on the wider universe for general use, drafting some more stuffing for your dossiers that hopefully make for some light reading before the next mission. But we don’t want to drop in any old stuff, no! We want to share information that you, the crew, think will find useful on your endeavours.
With that in mind we are pleased to put to you the following question: “What have you always wanted to know about the world of Ardent Spacers, but were too afraid to ask?”
Keep an eye on the “no stupid questions” Q&A thread dropping in the Discord soon and ready your best suggestions. We will do our best to answer any lore questions here and now (unless it’s currently unknown or classified – no sniggering at the back Diplo, I know what you’re like!). Anything we can’t answer we will make our priority to resolve when we share new information – keep an eye out in the medium term for new lore drops on our website (updates to the supernet, hypernet, and geocities pages will follow once we’ve coordinated with Taskminder HQ).

OC Brief
This month, we’re hosting a Lore AMA focussed on expanding the game universe in the directions you are all keen for. We’ve created a new channel in discord and a facebook post to help keep these questions in one place, as well as the email universe@ardentspacers.com to privately send in questions. Unlike our usual questions channel, we encourage you to bounce off each other’s questions and discuss things – but please don’t answer them on behalf of the ref team! The channel will ONLY be active for this month, and will return whenever we run this AMA again in the future.
We will be answering some of these questions directly in the channel throughout the month, though don’t expect an instant response (we need time for the writing team to create the answers after all). Anything that doesn’t get answered during this time will still be worked on as part of bigger lore updates over winter.
