Command Division [NPC FACTION]

Introduction

A-COM is based in the Ardent’s thorax, which houses most of the ship’s essential systems – the bridge, dormitories, central habitat and agricultural biomes, main reactors, and so on. The Ardent’s other modules attach to the thorax’s four docks, networking seamlessly with the rest of the cluster ship whenever they are together.
It is the duty of A-COM’s bridge team to remain in space and co-ordinate the movements of the other divisions on the ground. The Ardent receives communications from the Alliance via onboard ansible, a vital lifeline as the cluster reaches deeper into unexplored space.
A-COM operatives are denoted by white accents. They are an NPC-only faction that supports the players with assignments and information, and interact with members of all divisions in order to do so.

Division Priorities

  • Communicate with the broader Alliance by receiving transmissions and sending reports
  • Maintain minimal emergency functionality
  • Interface between all Ardent divisions and provide support to the Ardent’s ship modules
  • Facilitate the Ardent’s primary mission: to experience and explore the wonders of deep space
  • Co-ordinate ground teams
  • Maintain, above all else.
